Beach Day
The Coast — Savour, Swim & Celebrate
Your Day. Your Rhythm.
Day 6 Photo — Wine & Dine Recommended: Torchlit beach dinner · Snorkelling · Dhow sunset

This is your day without agenda. The Indian Ocean stretches endlessly before you — white coral sand underfoot, warm turquoise water at your toes, and the unhurried pace of Swahili coastal life all around. Choose your indulgence: snorkel the coral gardens of Kinyika or Diani Marine Reserve, cruise on a traditional outrigger dhow to a deserted sandbank for a private seafood lunch, kayak through ancient mangrove channels, or simply recline with a chilled glass of Provence rosé. This evening is reserved for our signature Wine & Dine beach dinner: a torchlit table on the sand, a curated tasting menu of Indian Ocean seafood, and a sommelier-guided wine flight under the stars.

Green Season — The Hidden Gem

Kenya's green season (also called the "low" or "emerald" season) transforms the savanna into a lush, dramatic landscape. Fewer vehicles on the tracks, newborn wildlife, spectacular birdlife, moody skies ideal for photography, and significantly lower rates. The coast remains excellent — warm, calm Indian Ocean with good visibility for snorkelling. Note: Kizingo Eco Lodge is closed May 1 – June 30.

Mid / Shoulder Season — The Sweet Spot

The shoulder seasons (January–March and November–mid-December) offer an excellent balance of good weather, strong wildlife sightings, and more moderate pricing. The savanna is drying out by January–March, making wildlife easier to spot around waterholes. The coast is warm and blue-skied. Amboseli and Tsavo are particularly rewarding — elephants are active and Kilimanjaro often cloud-free in early morning. Recommended for discerning travellers who value quality without peak-season crowds.

Peak Season — The Ultimate Kenya Experience

July through October is Kenya's finest wildlife season: the long dry spell concentrates animals around waterholes and rivers, the skies are reliably clear, and the Indian Ocean coast is at its most pristine. Amboseli's Kilimanjaro views are often perfectly clear, Tsavo's red elephants gather at the Aruba Dam, and the coast offers ideal snorkelling visibility. The festive December–January season adds extraordinary atmosphere. Book well in advance — this is the most sought-after period.
